I thought I would answer some of the most frequently asked questions here, to make it easier for you. I am available to answer any questions you might have, but this is what we hear most frequently...
1) Can we stop by the studio without an appointment to ask questions and see your products?
Not suggested... In order to make your experience truly unique, we ask that you make an appointment to come visit us in studio for a consultation. We will answer all your questions and show you (in person) everything we have to offer you! Our studio is open Monday-Friday (9am-5pm), but by appointment only.
2) Will you mail or E-mail me a price sheet?
No...We will be happy to answer some general questions about pricing over the phone, and offer full details during a consultation at our studio where we will discuss designing your custom portrait session.
3) How long before the preview presentation will be ready?
The presentation usually take a week to finish. At times they can be ready in two or three days.
4) Can I view proofs online?
No, please see our web page Online Ordering to answer your question in more detail.
5) Can I get the negatives? Digital files?
- We work digitally so there are no negatives.
- We cannot release our digital files because they are copyrighted; U.S. law establishes that they are the creative property of the photographer, for the same reason scanning and copying prints from your session is illegal.
- The images will be stored for a year at the lab.
6) What is included in the sitting fee? What prints are included?
- The sitting fee covers your time with the photographer, your time with the pre-portrait consultant and the portrait presentation consultant.
- Portraits are purchased separately.
7) Are your portraits archival quality?
- Absolutely. At Lovejoy Photography Studio, we use a lab that prints with Kodak “Endura” photo paper, which is guaranteed to last 100 years or more, and is a professional portrait paper.
- Acid-free paper and paper products are key to preventing damage to your prints over time. At Lovejoy Photography Studio all of our mats, including our art panel mats are acid free as are the mount boards we use in our framing. We want to ensure you can enjoy your prints for years to come.
8) How long does it take to get my portraits?
Your order is ready to pick up between 2 to 5 weeks from the date of your order.
9) Do you offer custom framing?
Absolutely! Each of our portraits is a unique piece of art and we want to ensure that it is wrapped in a frame that complements our work. We offer a complete line of frames that have exceptional quality and distinctive style. Most of our customers leave with a framed portrait ready to hang on the wall.
